Privacy Policy

This policy follows Apple App Store Review Guidelines §5.1.1(i). It explains whether we collect data, how it is collected and used, how it is retained or deleted, and how to contact us. Section structure draws on common patterns from nisrulz/app-privacy-policy-generator, customized to this app (not legal advice).

1. Who is responsible

CoreA Essentia is operated by individual developer Jie Chen (Apple Team ID: HL4SC859KC). Email: muducj@126.com. Website: coreaessentia.com.

2. What data we collect

The app runs primarily on-device. We do not operate a separate account system, and we do not actively collect contacts, precise location, microphone, camera, health records, or advertising identifiers (IDFA). We do not track across apps or websites (App Tracking Transparency does not apply).

3. How we use data

Run oil atlas, formulas, conversion, and related features on-device;
Sync data you authorize when iCloud is enabled;
Gate features using Apple subscription status;
Maintain trial validity.

We do not sell your personal data or use it for third-party ad targeting.

4. Sharing and third parties

In these cases, data may be processed by Apple under Apple’s rules (not resold by us):

App Store / StoreKit: payments, subscriptions, receipts, Family Sharing;
iCloud / CloudKit: only when you enable sync.

Apple’s privacy information: apple.com/legal/privacy.

Equivalent protection (Guideline 5.1.1): we only interact with Apple services required to run the app. Any future third-party SDK you consent to must meet protection no weaker than this policy and Apple’s guidelines. The current version includes no ads, analytics, or social login SDKs.

5. Retention

On-device content and preferences: usually remain until you uninstall or delete them;
Keychain / iCloud KVS trial markers: may persist after uninstall per system rules, for trial anti-reset;
iCloud synced data: retention follows your Apple ID / iCloud settings;
Subscription records: retained by Apple under App Store policy.

6. Withdrawing consent and deletion requests

The app does not require you to submit a name, email, or account to us for core features. You can control data as follows:

Turn off iCloud sync: manage this app under Settings → [your name] → iCloud, or delete related iCloud data;
Delete on-device data: uninstalling clears the app sandbox;
Manage subscriptions: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions;
Ask us for help deleting: email muducj@126.com with device model, approximate install time, and your request. We will help within a reasonable time and confirm we do not keep a separate server-side copy of your formula library (architecture is local + optional Apple iCloud).

Without a separate account, in-app account deletion (Guideline 5.1.1(v)) does not apply; deletion follows the local / iCloud / email path above.

7. Security

We use reasonable measures for an indie app (sandbox, optional local encrypted fields, Keychain, etc.). No electronic transmission or storage is perfectly secure; protect your device unlock and Apple ID.

8. Children

This app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect children’s personal data. If you believe we hold such information, contact muducj@126.com.

9. Non-medical disclaimer

The app provides aromatherapy learning and information only. It does not constitute medical diagnosis, treatment advice, or dosing guidance. Use essential-oil safety information carefully and consult professionals when needed.

10. Policy changes

We may update this policy. Material changes may be noted in-app, in release notes, or via the date on this page. Continued use means you acknowledge the updated policy.
